I had seen a documentary on this house, back when the artist was still alive...and had lost it's location over the years. Through a recent turn of events, I was told it's location again...and added it into a road trip.

You are most welcome & very nice of you to list links about his history. I failed to do that when i did my thread... as i was still new here. Charlie was a really cool man, and made a very unique and photogenic place...You did it justice!

I was all set to fly to southeast Texas last year just to see this, and then I learned that it had been extensively vandalized... or is this a different place?

...extensively vandalized? I wouldn't say 'extensively'...I've seen far worse. I have There are 50 something pictures in the album, what you see is what it is.

The light shining through the bottles in that last shot is some really great stuff.

I would love to get there in the early am or around noon, when the sun is not hidden behind trees. I think the bottle reflections would be awesome.
