I'm new to this site, haven't posted anything yet but I'm always checking new places out, I recently went on a road trip and decided to stop at the Ladner creek trestle. Great place for pictures. I managed to get myself into the west lawn building at riverview hospital a few weeks ago and will be posting pictures of that as soon as i figure out how to post pictures with ease. Anyways here's a picture of the trestle

Moved this to the Alberta/BC forum where you're more likely to get some relevant replies.

Looks like a really cool trestle - post up some more pics if you have them. Oh, and welcome to UER!

Great Picture. I was just up in that area two weeks ago.

We went up to explore the mine.

Not sure if you have ever explored more of the KVR around there. There are a few more tunnels and an old snow shed. Unfortunately, the older wooden trestles are now all gone.

I haven't explored much of the KVR, but I wanted to make a trip back up and take a look around, see what I can find, I never knew there was a mine there? Any tips to point me in the right direction if I end up going?

That's cool, is it neccassary to bring something to rip around on? I got a dirtbike but I figured it wouldn't be the best idea to leave it outside the mine for to long and plus it's a hassle to bring along

You can drive up the logging road and park just outside the gates of the mine. It is prob a 5 or so min walk from there. I wouldn't drive right in just in case.

when you do, do not walk on the timbers, they maybe 12" thick... but they are seriously rotten.

You could walk across the metal but it's scary as piss and dangerous. My girlfriend made it further then I did. Heights aren't my thing haha it's like a foot and a half wide maybe?
