Hey All.

On Wednesday at 2:00 in the afternoon my boss says to me "Hey Dave, want to go up in a helicopter and take pictures?"

By 4:30 in the afternoon I was in Niagara Falls and harnessed into a helicopter with both doors open, I pushed the limits of my harness and hung myself as far out of the helicopter as I possibly could!

Here are a handful of those shots, I hope you like em'!

This is awesome! I actually just recently did a flight lesson with MikMac in a Cessna, and it was such an incredible experience! I'm getting ready to post my photos on here in the next few days, but yours are way, way cooler! Especially that Niagra shot! Thanks for sharing!

Dude those photos are amazing! It looks like a miniature village. How'd you keep the image so stable?

A friend and I accidentally got onto a sub-roof of a building past the Rogers Centre in your last shot.

Wow, thanks all.

It was a challenge with the helicopter shaking and the wind with both doors open. It was also a perfect opportunity to put things Ive learned through exploring and roofs to practical use.

Thanks again for your feedback

Awesome stuff! I can even pick up a couple of key abandonments in those aerial shots. I wish you would have posted the old scow shots here too and not just left them in the Scavenger Hunt thread. Strangely enough, until looking at your scow shots just the other day, I never made the connection the boat is laying on its side. All these years I thought I was looking at the side of the boat.

Thanks dude!

I don't think it's on it's side - I believe that the far side of the scow has just been eroded away over years and years of the rushing water eating away at it.
