I'm looking to find someone in the tampa bay area who knows a lot about urban exploring and can help me get into it because it's not going well doing it on my own. If you know of any cool places that you've explored before, let me know, cause I'd love to see them. Thank you!

The best thing you can do is to just drive around and find a place. My first set of pictures on here happened doing just that. I was driving home from work and spotted the place tucked behind a ton of trees. And always keep a camera on you.

As one of the few active Tampa-area explorers on the site, welcome. Let me start by saying that when I started exploring I couldn't find anything, but I just didn't know where to look. In this area especially it would DEFINITELY be a good start to maybe just take a different route to/from work or even just cruise around in places you don't usually go. There are locations everywhere. If you're getting caught/having issues exploring, you can PM me anytime and I'd be more than glad to give you area specific advice that might help you out.

i'm in pinellas county, do you think there'd be more places to explore in tampa and ybor city than in pinellas county? there just seems to be a lot more historic structures there.

Dont strictly look for historic structures. some modern day building are abandoned too. ones that were built and never used, or ones that have just shut down and never re-bought. I am in Polk county. There are a few places out this way.

There are definitely some (usually) easily accessible cigar factories in the Ybor area....Just sayin'.
