Crumbling Hallways

There was a certain style of photography in this genre that got me interested in exploring/photography myself years ago. That style was a center line composition looking down a long hallway with many doors on either side. These pictures mainly came from old hospitals and asylums, which quickly became my favorite places to explore. Here are a few of my pictures that I've taken in the style which got me started in all of this. Some pictures are more recent and others are from a few years ago.

I to always enjoy a good crumbling hallway and hospitals/asylums are my favorite to explore. Hotels and resorts are good for long hallways as well, but they don't have quite the same feeling as a good long hospital hallway.

Another big hallway-shot fan here . Even though a lot of mine look the same, I can never resist snapping a few more when the opportunity arises. And of course the longer the hall, the more side rooms to check out!

BTW, I love the light beams in you last photo.

Thanks! I definitely started coming here past it's prime. The hallway looks so untouched in your picture. The picture I took was even a few years back. It's actually still my absolute favorite location to date but it seems to be getting more and more trashed and harder to get to.

Hospitals have the best hallways and photo-ops in general, in my opinion!

Thank you! And yes, I always stop in pretty much every side room and check them out.

I enjoy hospitals too but lately have found myself exploring different things like farmhouses and oil storage facilities. You have done some really nice shots here..

Here is one of my hallways from a tour I did at Pennhurst School in PA

I do like a good long hallway, they always make for interesting shots. I think I like them second only to staircases.

I know! That is probably one of the best in the whole complex. It's been a while since I made it over to the kitchen area. I'm long overdue for a re-visit.

Same here, Gravemind.
Say, do you remember THIS particular waiting room? (Right across the sky-tunnel). It looks like the fucking apocalypse blew right through it now but can you picture it like this?

Yeah, in building 3! That's incredible. This room is totally trashed now, like you said, it looks like the apocalypse blew through it. Some of the lower levels of 3 are bad now too. During my most recent visit I stuck to just 3 and 11 and was amazed at how bad some areas are.
