A compilation of photos from my recent roadtrip around various parts of the northern half of the UK. I've already posted up a couple separately so here is the rest in one big mix to avoid clogging things up.

These are all so fantastic and I am becoming a HUGE fan of your unprocessed collections (or at least, such minimal enhancements that they aren't even noticeable). I don't know why I can't wrap my head around that with my own stuff! There I am tone-mapping again, or boosting the contrast yet again, or trying everything I can to kill the white windows and highlights. Then I look at your stuff and appreciate that you didn't.

For some reason, buried in the middle of liking every single one of these shots, #18 caught the longest stare & appreciation. That's a great perspective of a really interesting combination of visuals.

Keep things natural and in a decade you'll look back and realize you did it right the first time. Ditch the tone mapping and over contrasty look.

Nice work, Mookster!

I think it just comes down to personal taste. I've always preferred mine to have only the bare minimum done if they need anything - cropping/straightening the odd shot here and there as an absolute maximum. Another aspect which swayed things for me is that I just don't have the time to spend ages editing a few photos! People have said to me in the past I should go down the HDR/tonemapping route and me being me I have always resisted it :p

18, 19, 20 and 21 certainly don't need a thing done to them. These are most colorful and lovely ...just the way they are!

That Dome is Gorgeous! Hope it stays that way for a long time to come.
