Melbourne. Fri 23rd to Tues 26th.
Melbourne/Adelaide or Brisbane. Wed 27th & Thurs 28th.
Adelaide or Brisbane. Fri 29th to Sun 31st.

Melbourne will include the 28th Clannies Awards (at a cool new location)
and the main 30th Anniversary celebration.

The US dollar continues to get stronger so look out for good deals as the year goes on.

One day i'll make it over, but unfortunately such a trip isn't in the cards for me this time around.
On the bright side, i acquired one of the rad "Cake Clan" patches an MSP member brought back! I'll represent for ya! Heh.

The Australian dollar is still heading down so you can get cheap flights to Oz.

Smaller events will be planned around the major events closer to the date.

I think Curly is on UER. I will check & get back to you, but if you can get hold of her she is brilliant at saving you money on airfares - such as don't book your ticket to Australia - book it too Asia where the competition to Australia is better (a bit more work for you but you could save $500+)

One thing we do well is plan expos, so don't get stressed by the lack of updates on here - THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN!

Oz $ is Currently around .70 US.

There'll be plenty of people driving between states to get lifts with (& domestic flights between Melbourne & Sydney are pretty cheap).

Usually there are quite a few cars making the trip from Sydney to Melbourne & back. I've never heard of anyone missing a lift. But as I mentioned, getting from Melbourne to Sydney is relatively a drop in the ocean.

Generally you'll also get a couch or place to roll out your mat as well.

We've just started getting volunteers sorted.

At this stage it looks like we are scrapping the third leg, but inserting a mad sick campout in between the two weekends (Tues to Thurs). It's a crazy trip to a couple of amazing locations!

When I get a moment I'll do a count of non-Aussies that are coming (I guess it's around 10 at this stage).

Watch this space.
