| | | I have known about the existence of this location for a couple of years now but always put it off because I thought it was long gone. But me and my companion were in the area so swung past taking a total chance that it was still there. To be honest I didn't have high hopes at all, I thought even if it was there it was going to be secured as I can only ever remember one other lot of photos from here a good number of of years back. Well what can I say, not only was it still there but it was also - after a bit of a faff - accessible. For the first half hour or so I was still shocked that we actually managed to get inside because I had totally geared myself up for it to be a fail! What was at one point a large manor house became the headquarters for a company that manufactured chemicals, hence the labs and industrial equipment dotted around. The building is in a precarious state, the expansive metal roof covers a top floor which is entirely missing! It felt quite surreal stood where there was once an attic space and various rooms but being 'outside'. An amazing place and I'm so glad a total stab in the dark paid off after last weekends stab in the dark failure. 1

Moving on to the more modern outbuildings. It looked like these were in use until more recently and had started to be renovated but whatever was going on had stopped. It seemed like the ground floor of one was still used for storage as it had a brand new 4x4 and a van parked inside amongst other stuff. 19
