USS Sachem and USS Phenakite < on 3/23/2015 2:03 PM > | Reply with Quote
The USS Sachem and USS Phenakite was a converted yacht that was used by the United States Navy from 1917 to 1919 and again from 1942 to 1945. It was later used as a tour boat before becoming abandoned on a small creek just yards from the Ohio River in northern Kentucky.

Ahhh those are awesome. I'm wondering how those boats ended up all the way over there, the water doesn't look too deep. Reminds me that I need to start exploring more boats.

Oh, Wow! Thats just too cool!! Would love to find something like this. Was very happy to see that you were able to get aboard and walk around. The shot through the port holes #9 is totally a visual treat.

Yeah but wear thick gloves! The cabling is rusty and I got cut up pretty bad climbing the side of the boat

Great shots! I'm stoked you were able to capture the logo and name on the side. I couldn't see much in person.

(The stuff behind that amazing watermark was pretty cool too.)
