The term came to existence when one forum member set up his tripod, carefully composed his shot, and saw his friend getting ready to set up in the exact same spot next and take the same picture, to which he said "If you take the same shot I'll punch you in the taint!" I don't know why he won the photography contest, because his picture was a complete taint shot.
