Now wait just a Goddamn minute. I use one of those daily. Obsolete? I've only had the son of a bitch 27 or 28 years. It should last another 30.

Place I work for switched to fancy end to end encrypted contactless card readers a while back.
The units came with plates and carbons.

Okay, while most of the "what is this" comments on this thread are said jokingly, I have a serious one. I found this in an empty room of an old house/ workshop, and cannot tell what it is supposed to do.

Is it some type of antique typewriter or something? Because I honestly have no clue what it is, only that I've never seen one before.

I thought it was a human nipple milker, like they have for cows.

Looks like a old printing press of some sort. I'm guessing all the things filed underneath it are different plates that would go on the press and then whatever is written on them would be stamped onto paper or some other type of medium. I know I have seen something very similar and that is what it was used for.

Thanks. I wondered what it was, but just couldn't figure it out.

I never uploaded this picture because of the poor quality but it's too relevant.

It's from a building under renovation that was built in the 20's.

'Dude', is that a Burroughs adding machine?! That's a funny coincidence, because I had never heard of these things until today. I found one in a building and looked it up.

Unfortunately I can't find any info on this model (probably because it's a French one).
