An hour drive north, a slip under the fence, and a short walk, we arrive at the abandoned foundry. Wife used the 18-55mm, I used the nifty50. Enjoy...

One of the best sets I've seen in a while! Loving how it looks so untouched and left alone - especially that corner workshop area where all the tools are seemingly right where they were the day it closed.

Nice set! I actually have a funny story about this place. My family was up in this area last year without me and my mother saw the buildings from a distance. She decided to go look since she's seen all my photos.

So here's my nearly 60 year old mother's first urbex photos.

I apologize for the thread jack.

Great pictures! I really like "Wide Open".

We stood in that space for at least 20 minutes. Mesmerized.

Thanks so much! Ya most of the place seems 'as is'. We even found an ID badge in one of the lockers.

That whole room had an "energy", and I'm not trying to be funny.

Always loved this place, and it's a great set! This is one of those places I wish I could have seen before they started tearing down the property, I imagine it would have been breathtaking to see.

Great location and set!

Thanks guys. And yes, this place is amazing. I can only imagine what it would have been like before they knocked down the 4 or 5 other buildings that came off the main one. They even removed the railroad tracks from in front of the bath house already. Its prepaved and set with electrical and pilons for lamp posts now.
