Hello folks

I'm a photographer who just recently discovered the world of urban exploration. About a month ago, I climbed my first crane. It was an incredibly moving experience. I won't bore you with the hippie-talk, but it's safe to say I caught the bug.

Anyways, here are two photos I took that night that I would like to share.

Nice, man! that's a pretty ballsy introduction to UE in my opinion! I haven't dared to even try one yet.

Oh man that second shot is amazingly trippy. I love it - I want to climb a crane now. How easy was it? (Physically, security wise etc.)

You know it really depends on the location. I'd highly recommend scouting out the location multiple times beforehand to pick up on the vibe.

In this particular case, access was very easy. There was no security. The fence wasn't too much trouble, and the climb was a piece of cake. I'm sure it varies from crane to crane, but this one had platforms about every two stories.

Honestly, it was much easier than I had anticipated. But I don't want to give off a false-sense of security. There are quite a lot of variables that could go wrong. Pay the site a few visits when you're ready, and don't push it unless everything's right. There's no shame in waiting another day.

Thanks for the pointers, I was planning to climb one at the local university but my friends chickened out and by the time I went back the crane had come down.

i was literally in the exact same scenario a couple years ago. only other tip id say for cranes is the dark clothing rule goes double here, youll be fairly open and in a noticeable position so navy and black clothing (and shoes) is a must

The second shot is sick. And making it must have been a pretty easy job (aside from the climbing the crane part - which is something I still have to do). I love the simplicity
