Posted by ForgottenRails I wouldn't go for the 'artifacts'. there is a lot of stuff but as you can see, trashed to hell in most cases. The atmosphere there is amazing though. We were there on a cool overcast day which made it so pleasant. Quiet in the woods and lots of building to see. I would recommended it for sure (I would love to go back again) but you go for the exploration, not the untouched from the past aspect of it.

Thanks for the info. If i wasn't so far away i would definitely stop in to see what photos i could take, and i am sure the locale is quite beautiful, but, planning a vacation with exploring in mind...i want to hit places that are not quite so destroyed. But, i DID enjoy your pics and it helped to see what the place looks like now.
