Very nice.

How many buildings could you get into?

First time I went there I couldn't find any open doors, but I also didn't want to get caught in broad daylight. Took advantage of the storm since nobody was around and poked around as long as I could before freezing lol I only found the one open door before calling it a day.

I really don't think you have to worry about getting caught.

Since the DND gave Shannon Park to the Canada Lands Company it isn't actively patrolled by military police anymore. Frankly, I don't even think the Halifax Regional Police can be bothered to go poking around inside the fence. Just stay away from the front fence and you should be fine so long as you remain generally cautious of the folks driving on the bridge who can definitely see you if you're out in the open.

I agree. Though the first time I really went in and snooped around (early January this year), I was surprised to see to men patrolling the place. Definitely HRM police. You can never be to cautious in there.

That's very interesting, I've never seen them get out of the car. They were police for sure? As in, uniformed officers?

Yup, definitely in there. Right at the front fence so I'd say they didn't go in too far. I've never heard of them going in there either so it scared the crap out of me lol

I went into Shannon Park a few weeks ago and didn't even have to hide, absolutely no people patrolling or anything. Very eerie feeling when in there, the silence creeps me out. Although the buildings are super cool to explore. Did you go into any of the basements of the buildings? Not the best lighting, but cool to check out either way.

Only think that makes me uneasy about Shannon Park is the possibility of homeless people living in the buildings. Although harmless I'm sure, I don't know about anyone else but if I walked into a room and saw one I think I'd just pass out right there, LOL. Saw a few deer in the park too.

We've been all through the buildings, top to bottom. Were any of them open when you were there? I haven't checked anything since they boarded it up.

as well, we've never seen any homeless living in there, but there's been definite signs of people staying for short periods, probably scrappers and taggers.
