Patterson Road (with cinematic ending)

So there's this local legend surrounding Patterson Road, this desolate country road out in west Houston. There's a bridge along it where people have reported weird crap happening. Rumor was the bridge was near the site of a civil war battle, and it was near the supposedly haunted Blue Light Cemetery.. and lots of weird crap happened there. So naturally me and a few friends went down a while back to take a look.

It got interesting real fast.

First, we came across another group of peeps doing the same thing we were doing.

About 10 minutes later, we were joined by another two cars.

It turns out we were all there for the same reason, for the same legend. The guys that showed up later invited us to explore. Which is always a great idea, ya know? Exploring a supposedly haunted area with strangers you met a few minutes ago.

We started coming across these white dots painted on trees..

More importantly though, they offered us stories about the place. The biggest WTF-er was the supposedly inverted cross they claimed to appear in the middle of the forest, used for satanic rituals. Rumor was that a church burned down in the area, leaving the imprint. Course we didn't believe it, until I was showing a friend a few weeks later where we were on Google maps.

...and a little closer.

like wat.

So we definitely had to hit the place up, try and find that church or whatever was left just cause lol.

(Cinematic ending is at 9:15 if anyone wants to skip straight to it.)

I'm not going to delete this one (either), at least not now. But video posts DO need to be placed in the video section. It's fine to post here and let everyone know it's there, even link that that thread, but they do need to go in the video section.

I have been there many times, I also heard about a cival war battle but historical records do not show any battles in Texas. But, the bridge over Bear Creek and Langham Creek are supposed to be haunted, some say Bear others say Langham. There is also a cemetary just north of the road, Hallendahl Cemetary also known as the Blue Light Cemetary. The up side down cross has nothing to do with a church, it was part of a fishery business, it is a holding pond divided into four 'tanks' for holding fish. The town of Addicks was moved when the Army built the dam to keep Houston from flooding, the people moved a little south, mainly near Grisby and Hwy 6 the church was physicly moved just north of I10 and east of what is now Hwy 6. Cool history!
