I recently bought a sunpak flash for my camera and for some reason I can't get the damn thing to flash. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or am I just a dumbass?

Is it still not working then? They can take a bit to charge up first. Does the ready light ever come on?

If the light doesn't come on it might be a bad capacitor oor flash tube. I tried a sunpak flash once but didn't like it compared to my 580EXii. If you are trying it on a hot shoe, make sure the two are compatible.

Which model of Sunpack, on which camera. Not all cameras are compatible with generic flashes.
