The Durango '95 purred away a real horrowshow - a nice, warm vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts. And soon it was trees and dark, my brothers, with real country dark.

Living in Philly, and having just graduated from Temple U (where the girl attended as a freshman), I've seen this happen a number of times in the last few years.

The first was an out-of-town visitor to Temple, off a roof during spring fling.

The second two were separate incidents the following year during the student-organized spring fling alternative (the official one having been cancelled for obvious reasons).

From the limited things I've heard since this morning, and although I don't know the building she was in, that block is all commercial and residential. Nothing abandoned of note-- doesn't seem as though she was an explorer-type.

The only exploration-related injury in Philly that I know of is a Temple art student who fell quite a distance in the Divine Lorraine some years back. Don't even get me fuckin started on that place.

Damn shame.

Hmm. I live outside of Philly, so I heard about her falling on the news yesterday. Hadn't heard about the photography part.

Shame it happened, but I hope the pedestrian is okay. Heard they got pretty beat up.

That's terrible news and I really hope the bystander makes a full recovery. Articles like this one are exactly why my mom doesn't want me to take rooftop shots

I had some wasted asshole land on me from a balcony-jump at Philly's Tower Theater at White Zombie back in '94. I went flying and mowed down a god three rows of people. The asshole got taken out on a stretcher, coughing up purple pudding (broken ribs, probably) and I could barely get through the show. My back hurt for two weeks and this was from maybe a fifteen-foot leap. I hope the asshole fucking died.
