| | | I was tipped off about this place by a mate who lives in the area so thought I had better pop by and see what was what. I actually really enjoyed it here, more so than I thought I would for a 1960s build school. It's quite odd as the ground floor still has power being fed to it meaning there are lights on and lots of blinking motion alarms that don't seem to do anything - it's still disconcerting having the little red lights blinking at you though. The noise in here is pretty awesome too as when I visited it was very windy, and the metal blinds hanging up against broken windows were making a hell of a racket bashing and crashing around, it gave it a really cool atmosphere. Since the school closed in 2009 and relocated to a nearby new site it has found use as an Airsoft arena, evidenced by the thousands of pellets littering the ground, and also it would appear police dog training but that has long since passed. On my first visit I forgot my tripod so my photos were taken handheld at an ISO level so high it was hitherto unknown to man, I went back the next day with a mate who wanted to see it so took my tripod and re-shot various parts I struggled to do handheld. There was roof access available but it was right in front of a whole neighbourhood of houses and very windy so didn't want to get a) seen and b) blown off the roof... 1
