So there's one amusement park in my town which is located inside industrial complex area. People who owns the amusement park, haven't changed ANY decorations since 1997. It looks abandoned, but it's not. This autumn authorities closed down amusement park after incident. One drunk man slipped and died out there. Some friends have been there inside and said inside is as shabby as outside...

And this is porcelain factory, already demolished. In 2013 demolition works started and now new buildings are arising in this area. I've made several posts about this factory on UER.

One of the best rooftops where i've ever been - 16 storey-tall commieblock. 16 storey buildings or higher aren't common in my hometown Riga... For me , this building is a skyscraper.

Attempt to explore abandoned prison failed. But walk along perimeter , being 'trapped' inside between two giant fences - something new for me.

In Latvia, there are still very shabby and old trains. Company which is running all train service hesitates to make a contract and buy new trains.

This dude from New Orleans was travelling through Europe this summer and stopped by in Riga, too. We went for a walk and explored abandoned bridge near one of the train stations in Riga. He didn't know about such people who explores for fun although he has wondered about all the abandoned buildings after Katarina storm in 2005. Later he checked out UER and recognized about 4 - 5 locations in his area.
