From the first linked article, it seems less UE or statement-based, and more like the dude just wanted a better picture. He came down at the officer's command. Still, this does not look good for the rest of us, who like going places for our pictures.


I'm just surprised he pulled this stunt now, given the last few incidents recently. It seems like a foolishly reckless move on his part, because you'd think the extra security they've had would be warning enough that you can't just take a blatantly open approach to it.

Yonathan Souid was released on $ 7,500. bail and court date set for Dec. 9th.

Zero sympathy for this guy. Only a total dumbass would climb the Brooklyn Bridge in the daytime, especially now with all the added security measures, signs and cops, and still expect "just taking a picture" excuse to fly.

I think the price he will pay is a little harsh, but he should have expected that.

My thoughts exactly. Climbing this bridge in daylight and willing to risk the expensive return flight the same day clearly shows lack of preparation.

I'm gonna ask my grandma to read the newspapers, the local press in Charente-Maritime will probably catch on the story and make a local celebrity out of him

I feel bad for anyone related to UE in New York anymore. By the end of all this publicity exploring there is going to become a federal crime.

My thoughts exactly.. Not much in the public eye of UE. Now some wannabe youngsters thinking they can get thier 15 minutes by copying and will die in a huge tragic "accident". More fucking security cameras. Dammit!!

What an ass. Middle of the day, stops to take some sweet photos partway up the cables, like it's no big deal. Has he been hiding in a cave for months? Even if it wasn't the Brooklyn Bridge of all places, this would still be a dumbass move.

A bit before this, there was the thing with (I believe the were Germans) people climbing up and replacing the flags with white flags.

It all started with the Instagram explorers gettin the attention from the police and then the flag thing happened. That may have been overlooked like the party on the Wburg but now you can forget about it.
