This small farm is almost familiar to me: I did spent most of my childhood just 400 meters from that. This is at the side of my hometown, alone between sand pit and two highways. I still remember how we did fear it when we were childs riding at that sand pit with our mopeds... I'm not even sure why, maybe it was just bit gloomy.
At last saturdays traditional halloween party I did talk of it with my brother. He did confirm what I've been assuming when driving on that highway: all windows are now broken.
I didn't have hangover on sunday, so I did get myself there. Day was foggy and gloomy and dark and even that small amount of light were dying really fast. All windows were broken and somebody were gone berserk with rude axe that did lie on the floor; even oven have get many wounds. Everything else was open, but one building's upstairs were locked from inside. I didn't think it too much - I did assume that there is stairs that lead up there somewhere in that building.
Wednesday I did return. Place did look much more photographical with bit better light and there were much more details than I did notice at sunday. There were also one detail that did raise the mood bit upward: that axe were gone. I repeat: that axe were gone. It was quite... especially after visiting upstairs, where were empty boxes that did tell tale of first hide of stolen electronics. You can believe that I did check all dark corners etc. quite well before photographing. That highway did also raise the mood - there were most of time that much traffic noise (highway was just 20 meters away) that you mostly wouldn't be able to hear anything else, I mean if somebody would come quietly. At some point I did find out that there weren't stairs to locked upstairs of that one building...
I confess that I were bit more tension than usually. After all it was quiet and peaceful for those 1,5 hours that I did spent there. Still I think that my already planned light painting trip shall wait snow... so I can see from footprints am I really alone or not.
Anyway it's amazing that now I had so photographical location so near. Feels like winning lottery (and no, I don't know what that last one feels but I can imagine).
