Second video attempt. Low quality walk through of a juvenile campus, basically a cross between a jail and a school. But there's good music in the background

I really like how the video shows the best of the place. Although, just my thoughts, the music doesn't really seem to fit the video right. That opening clip with the creaking door really caught attention though.

Since I do video for a living, every day, I've found that music sometimes is a personal issue. I've found that you can take 10 random people and show them a video and 30% will hate the music choice. Take another random 10 people and 70% will hate the music choice. Often it comes down to just what style of music people prefer.

But then there are times when certain types of music just don't seem to fit. I agree with BTPP. I think this is one of those times. Not trying to burst your bubble man. My comments (as are most) are meant to help not to hurt your feelings.

I agree that the creaking door, oh man, what an opening scene. That's perfect. But then I think the video would have carried more of a feel that matched the location if you had chosen a track with a tone of "mystery" to it, and slowed down some of the scenes to give it more of a deliberately haunting mood. Just my thoughts.

I'll say this for it: It was surprisingly stable. This is the first UE video I've watched in a long time that didn't give me the urge to puke from motion sickness. So for that you have my kudos.

No shit. My thoughts exactly. At first I thought she was using a tripod for some of those pans but then realized, no, she's handholding everything. Nice job, Oelky.

nicely done. I can tell you used vibration reduction to get rid of whatever shakiness there might have been. I agree that the music would match better with quick edits/ faster camera movements. It's the broad sweeping and floating feel that goes against the music.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it! It makes sense that I should have gone creepier/more suspenseful with the music. I almost did, but I went for Black Flag at the last minute because it was juvenile detention campus and I felt like it matched the attitude. Next video, or if I re-edit this one, I'll go that route instead. Also, I'm glad that the video wasn't too all over the place. Even as shaky as it is now, it bothers me.

Oelky the video itself was good. I liked it. I just think the music selection didn't fit the edit style. Like a few others have said, if you wanted to use that particular music style, I think you'd need to do some faster edit cuts.

As for the movement (fire hosing) your video wasn't bad in that area, to me. I've seen some on here that almost give a person motion sickness.
