A rare find

Not many places like this left in my city, so while this isn't the tastiest industrial relic, it was a fun shoot thanks to the beautiful light coming in those big windows.

Equipment used was Canon EOS M with tilt-shift converted AFS Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8 and pre-AI Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 (and a sturdy tripod ;) ) Selective focus effects were done with lens movements, not in post. Photos 10, 12, 13 & 14 are 3-shot HDR blended into a single entended-range RAW image in Photoshop CS6 and toned in ACR & Lightroom 5 (I don't personally like the distinctive look of automatic blending, but having the additional dynamic range is invaluable in some situations). Photo 11 is a 3-shot panorama stitched in Photoshop CS6.

Hope y'all enjoy.

Fuckin awesome set man. 2 is great, looks kinda film-ish. Lightroom preset? 10 and 12 are awesome, but 11 is by far my favorite. Ill have to try shooting a pano, never thought to do one in a building haha. Great shots!!

Looks great! I especially like 2 and 12.

As an M shooter, I am really tempted by the tilt-shift adapters that have been popping up - I love the look of selective focus. I shoot with some adapted M42 glass (Takumars, mostly), but I just wish the t/s adapters were a bit cheaper. Do you use a pre-made one (Kipon or such), or did you adapt the lens yourself?

There are some standouts but this set is just so so good.
Special thanks for including your process on these.

I love #9. The poles at the edge of the roof line up almost perfectly with the buildings in the background. Very nice shot!

I'm using the Kipon Tilt + Shift adapter. I'm overall impressed with the quality of the adapter- movements are smooth and not at all sloppy, infinity focus is perfect and there are no issues with light leaks or internal flare (although I suppose that should be expected from a ~300$ part!) If you don't need rise/fall, Kipon does make tilt-only versions that are less expensive.

Excellent set! My favorites are 6, 7 and 12. The red and yellow really pop in 7.
