Gear thread, eh?

My gear usually looks something similar to this:

...except I don't carry that white stuff because crack is whack, although, I will throw in a camera and tripod if there's any room left.

Depends on when and where I'm going and what I expect to run into or want to photograph, but my usual is:

Pelican 1520 case (gets left in the car, the gear goes in my jacket pockets if I'm wearing one, or less of it goes in other pockets)
Nikon D800 on a BlackRapid strap
Nikon 28-300 VR lens
Nikon D800 flash
A Pelican memory card case with 3 more 16 GB cards
2 spare camera batteries
A plastic case of spare AA batteries for the flash (and flashlight)

There's a bit more gear that often gets left in the camera case like Gary Fong Lightspheres, but if I anticipate needing them then I'll bring them in too. Have a tiny pocket tripod I'll bring if I'm not sure if I'll need one, and a Manfrotto Tracker tripod with a 322 grip head on a shoulder strap if I'm sure that I will.

I've always got a Swisstool and Streamlight on my belt by my phone, they always come along.

Stick a water bottle or two in my pocket and I'm good.

If it's going to be more than an hour or two trip then I'll add a Camelbak backpack and shift some of the extra bits to it.

If I'm really planning for specific shots I might bring a Nikon D70 I modified for infrared, and other lenses are always an option.

Right now since I'm traveling for work that list is trimmed down quite a bit to a Panasonic Lumix P&S, a water bottle, and whatever I always have with me. Somehow that just doesn't feel the same and I wish I could bring one more case with me on the road.
