So apparently this woman was caught in someone's home with two models. The owners have a winter home in Florida, and were away for a few months, but that doesn't mean the place was abandoned.

http://www.wmur.co...t/27767274#!bPnWnx

She didn't make any comments to the media, but apparently she told cops that she learned to do that from sites like UER and Deggi and has been giving the cops names of urban explorers in the region she says do the same thing as her (ie illegally entering people's homes while they're away).

Brilliant.

I thought her "pay all my fines" gofundme page was bad enough, but she is actually ratting people out now? Sounds like a great chick.

I got a call today from the Hollis police today asking me about Deggi5 , after 10 minutes of explaining to them its been gone for months, I still don't think they believed me...

I know of 2 other explorers/model photographers that got called by the hollis police today as well because this woman just started dropping names in some sad attempt to defer the blame on someone else

and thats just what I actually know about, who knows how many other people got calls today

but she painted sites like UER and Deggi like we are some mafia criminal sites that provide info to criminals about homes that are unoccupied for long periods of time by their owners so thieves and others can break in... it was the most mind numbing convo ive had in a long time

and then there is what soldat said, her go fund me page has garnered 1700 in donations to pay her legal fee's

sad sad sad.....

When I first started getting into exploring and the website, I bought a few of the key chain flashlights, and for a while I kept one on my key ring. It would often be on me as I went exploring, even though I never actually needed to use it for anything, since I was already carrying multiple other flashlights. After thinking about it one night, I decided to remove it from the key ring in the event that I am caught or arrested while running around.

My reasoning for this was two-fold. First of all, I realized that I didn't want to draw extra heat to the site, which could potentially cause problems for a lot more people than myself. Secondly, I reasoned that with my clothing and physical description, as well as a hint on where to start looking online, local investigators with a little bit of perseverance would probably be able to find old posts I had made and theoretically end up charging me for other instances of trespassing. I know the odds on this are not that great, and most police departments have bigger fish to fry, but you never know. I'd hate to get arrested and charged for one event, then suddenly have six or eight more charges pile up because a few cops felt like making an example of me.

I'm sure I'm not the only person to come to this decision, and it may be so obvious to you guys that it should go without saying. I also don't have any problem with the site's key chain flashlights. But it is definitely something to think about, especially if you think there is much risk of being discovered on an explore.

What a bitch! First off. How the hell do you trespass in an empty (not abandoned) house 3x without realizing it's a seasonal home? Was all the furniture, electricity and lack of dust/peeling paint stuff not key enough? She seems 101 kinds of stupid.

Ontop of that, ratting other people out is disgusting. She can't handle the consequences of her own actions so she needs to get out of the hobby before someone else has to suffer because of her actions.

As a side note; I don't get the appeal in her photography. It's just too.. Weird for me. There's nothing about it that says "hey, I'd like to have that hanging on a wall". I don't understand how she has so many fans who are willing to fund her photography trips (She had a gofundme for a photoshoot at some open to the public jail Link: http://www.gofundme.com/96gou4), as well as her legal fees... Sigh.

I went through a similar thought process. Whenever I'm stopped by the cops, the last thing on my mind is explaining UER and urban exploration, because that will just make me look like a pathological offender, and might get them to investigate me closer.

Wow…thats messed up, after reading the story I realized I recognized the name and sure enough I was friends with her on Flickr. After a quick check it appears she has taken down all of her photos except for one.

+1 on that. I guess she can't take out a loan so she's asking for handouts? Wtf? Some of the shit I've been seeing posted up on gofundme is just ridiculous lately.

Her photography? Not bad actually.

Taking online donations for legal fees? Sure, why not? I should have thought of that.

Entering a vacation home thinking it was actually abandoned? Stupid for sure, but everybody makes mistakes.

Ratting out other explorers to the cops: If true - a TOTAL DICK MOVE.

What a total cunt!

And yes Mike I remember the talk about making some sort of ID card that we could present as way of saying "We belong to UER, and we're only here to document this place.....take only photos, leave only footprints". Like that would have made a difference!

She needs more than a lawyer. She needs some personal integrity. It take a special kind of stupid to try to lay the blame on a website.

DumbAssPhotog: "But judge, Abby Normal on the UER website said that I could break into the house and take pictures. She said no one would care."

Judge: "Oh, in that case, NOT GUILTY!".

DumbAssPhotog: "Can I go now? I have to meet some people for a photo shoot."

Judge: "Go arrest Abby Normal! We can't have someone on the internet telling people it's OK to break into a house to take pictures.".

If she ever had any credibility as an explorer or photographer, she's a pariah now. I wouldn't walk into a McDonalds with her.

Good luck with your future endeavors hon!

In all fairness, I don't think she's narcing on people hoping to get a lighter punishment or something. I think she's just trying to make herself sound more normal and what she's doing as more mainstream.

Which is idiotic rather than malicious, and still snitching.

Man... she couldn't even pick a better line to legitimize her art than "other people on the internet do it"?

Damn, though. What kind of WTF moment must that have been for the poor homeowners. XD Home intrusion is scary, but then you find out it's some photographer AND two models? Is this real life?!
