Visited this AMAZING castle near Firenze this summer. Built in mid 19th-c. the castle served as a hotel after WWII untill its closure in 1999.

Unlike most UE sites, the entire castle was in perfect shape. No graffitis, no nothing!

Every single room was unique, with just amazing details.

Even the floors were a piece of art.

We spent 3 hours just walking around and taking pictures. Overall the most beautiful place I've visited. Not just within the context of UE, but in general aswell. 10/10 would recommend for anyone.

Photos taken with my Samsung S4 and quickly edited in Instagram. Sorry, don't own a DSLR yet and haven't started studying that much about photo editing!

Love this castle
Was one of the first explorers to get inside in 2010, when there were almost no pictures online. This place can't be described in pictures...

Nope, no guided tour. Although the place is easily reachable with public transport, it is quite remote from settlement, so we sneaked in on our own.

Couldn't agree more with you! I was all the time cursing myself for just having my phone camera with me... Deleted all the other pictures when I ran out of memory, and kept on capturing more of this beauty!

Nope, no guided tour. The 1st floor windows had iron bars on them, but the 2nd storey windows were not only unbarred, but also wide open! We climbed in from the 5th one to the left, starting from the middle.

Hey, just to let you know, posting a descriptive method of entry on a public thread may not be a great choice. In a perfect world only careful explorers would see this but in reality you never know what kind of vandals or scrappers could see this...

I doubt scrappers are using this to find places in Europe.

You mean those open windows in the first picture?

This place looks amazing.

Lovely place with amazing detail and color. One of my dreams is to find something like this in a remote area that no one knows much about.

A place of Mystery is Always worth a curiosity trip!
