I have taken my beagle on a few easy explores, usually something involving a nice walk to it, or an cool find on a hike.

Explorer dogs are awesome! I am pretty careful with what he's walking on and watching for glass, nails, etc. Other than that i don't worry about much else

I've never taken my dog into a building as it would just be one more thing to worry about and worried about what she would step in/on. But, she has been on a lot of reconnaissance trips. Sadly, my copilot tends to fall asleep shortly after takeoff.

Most recently to check out a large abandoned military complex way off the beaten path. As long as I am not busting any FAR's, I can circle overhead and form a plan all I want. It's not trespassing if I'm in the air.

It was in September, we saw their silhouettes fade away, outlined on the horizon against the rays of the setting sun.

I finally tried it but Gordon, my bubble-eyed goldfish, sadly passed away in the baggie in my pocket. What a dumb idea.

The memory remains, my friend...

Where's Avatar-X when you need him?

Now, for me, I wouldn't dream of bringing my dog. She'd take off after the first pigeon and fall through the floor or something. Nope.

I've seen plenty of people walking their dogs at Sovlay Coke in milwuakee when it was still up... Same with Hynite. But then again, those sites were more like public parks than abandoned buildings. I swear I've seen people bring their kids and have picnics on the old coal piles.

It's your responsibility to take care of them, they don't assess risks like we do. It'd be too easy for them to step on or eat something or fall down. Personally I wouldn't, I care about my pets too much. I'd be too afraid of something happening to them.
