The Trailer Park (Pic Heavy) < on 8/26/2014 4:52 AM > | Reply with Quote
For my first official post on here, I thought I'd post a few pics from my favorite location. It's right on the lake and features both boat docks and an actual little store. It has trailers that have been totally abandoned an little cottages the owners used to rent. The place itself started going down hill in the late 90's early 00's. The place was just...left to rot by both owners of the trailers and the children of the owners of the property. The original owner passed away back in the early 90s and was a really good friend of my family. My dad was the one who showed me around the place back when it was just limping along. ORIGINALLY, when I first started visiting, the place was in much better condition. Being more in the sticks, bored country kids decided to come out and vandalize it over the years. Here's a few shots from my most recent visit! 1.

Thanks for sharing! I love the pictures, especially the second to last one of the trailers all in a row. I'm sure it's been fascinating (if, it sounds like, sad, having some personal connection to the history of the place like that) to watch things change over the years, especially the overgrowth.

Yes! Serenity NOW! Thanks for the additional photos. I have enjoyed these old trailers. Bet this use to be a nice get-away spot. Lake is pretty. Sad its lonely with no kiddos to be jumping in that cool water in the hot summertime.
