I haven't seen anyone, anywhere, talking about this place. Since it's mostly demolished and gone now, I figured why not. Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis began demolishing their old campuses last year to make way for a brand new medical campus within the coming years. Unfortunately. The buildings themselves were very nice and fit in perfectly with the rest of the area.

I first explored it this past January, then February, and had to quit in May. Aside from construction crews, there was never a trace of anyone, there was no vandalism, there was nothing except the early (and post) stages of demolition. Most of this is because the location (squished between an active hospital and a very busy part of town), but it's the small things that made this all the better. From beginning to end, it was nothing but a bizarre sense of awe. Hospitals have always been my favorite to explore, and I suppose this only helped heighten my interest. It's a shame it's torn down now. It was a very low-key location, which can't be said for too many locations.

I was a bit worried at first too, but there was never a single threat of getting caught or anything similar. Very relieving.
