I don't know if this belongs in here or in the photography thread, but I have been looking for a new pack and I'm stuck between the case logic dcb 108 or whatever, sling, one of the new lowepro slings. I was hoping some one here has used one or the other and can give me some friendly advice.

They are close the the same size from what I have seen and close to the same price. Is there something that would be a tie breaker outta the two? If I'm gonna spend that much money on a good pack I would like to have one that is dependable, durable, and can last long enough for me to get my money's worth. They both look really good but I though maybe someone on here could open my eyes to something that I am unaware of.

Any help is appreciated.

I have a Lowepro Passport sling. I really like it because it looks pretty inconspicuous compared to other camera bags. It doesn't hold a lot but it's usually all I need.

I have this Lowpro.
1.

The build quality is fantastic. I have been rough with it for the past few months and it is still as good as the day I got it.

I also use this bag, and love it. I did have an issue with the strap on the top starting to come off five years after I bought it, but Lowepro replaced it for free.

Amazon has some pretty awesome camera bags and backpacks.

I have several friends with this one.

I'm currently considering the larger one so I can carry my laptop with me as well.

IMO tamrac is best for exploring... compartments are though out just the right way. The backpack is flat which is very important when climbing ladders. Tripod attaches to the side which again is crucial for ladders. Material is durable and zippers have not broken yet on my two backpacks.
Just my two cents...
