Hey, I'm heading out to NYC for the first time at the end of next week. Anyone in the area interested in exploring with me, showing me around, telling me where something interesting is, etc? I honestly have no idea where anything is out that way, abandoned or not ;)

What part of NYC will you be staying in? You could go to Staten Island and explore, I think the ferry there is free.

I'm honestly not sure where I'll be staying atm, but I'll be helping my wife out with an event she's vending at, which is in Manhattan near the Lincoln Tunnel, I guess.

Looks tagged to shit and stripped to the bone from what I can tell in photos I've seen. Sounds disappointing.

Check out seaview if you get a chance, you can take the ferry from Manhattan to Staten Island. There is a bus that stops right outside of it. Don't drive there though, the toll is like 15 bucks or something,

if you're considering seaview then go across the street as well. It's shot to hell but if you're in the area anyways then why not? Kings Park isn't as bad as others make it sound. I've been there a few times & it's a cycle of board up, rip down but theres a lot more to see than just the 2 buildings that everyone & their brother flocks to. There's a few decent buildings in the back & there's the quads across the street which is part of the compound but the oh so helpful ass hats there deny it. There's a few places in & around brooklyn & queens as well. if you're up for a drive, there's more than a few spots upstate, some less than an hour from the city

I would post a few of my meager contributions but my hard drive crashed & I'm still trying to recover it
