Colloquially the word "Indiano" refers to the Spaniards who emigrated to South America in the late nineteenth century and returned millionaires.
Those who managed to amass fortunes and years later decided to return to their places of origin, seeking to build palaces to take prestige. Today many of these mansions remain forgotten and wreck.
