The old second-generation GATR annex remains are now pink??!
Last time I was at the main site in-question, it was a 5 hour long solo visit with advance permission of the FAA -- of course, they didn't own or control anything but their fenced-in compound & I knew that, but it gave me confidence to drive my car past the gate, right up the access road & then ride my mountain bike around the grounds exploring & I figured the US DOJ - Bureau of Prisons (who still own the property) might give me some credit for having written FAA permission if they happened to show-up for their occasional training exercises while I was there.
This was before the legislature of California, in an effort to 'protect' it's dear citizens, got rid of the open-carry law, so I was open-carrying an unloaded pistol when I was out & about, but would insert a magazine & chamber a round when I went inside the structures, as I'd been warned about meth-heads, desperadoes, gang members, etc. & I'd already had a very close-call with a murderer a few years earlier while poking around the former Fort Ord.
So again, being there solo, hundreds of miles from home, my guard was up, but I cannot tell you how shocked I would have been to suddenly come across a scantily-clad hot chick like that in the middle of all the ruin & decay. It would have been quite a mind-phuck, and I mighta had an accidental discharge of another kind!
