So, I haven't stumbled across this in my own journeys (yet), but has anyone while exploring gotten an odd feeling about certain rooms or places?

Like, a certain house you've had "bad vibes" from or the feeling of not being alone in a clearly deserted place/room/basement?

I'd love to hear some stories if you folks have any.

I stepped into a patient room of an asylum once, and i immediately got the chills.. I look around, and sure enough.. the window was open! Craziest thing ever.

In high school I ran across a house outside of town that had two graves in the front yard. I was gonna scare the girls with us and went ahead to hide inside, but I had no more than walked in the door and I felt like someone was with me.

I went back out to the car and was fully prepared to put the place behind me, but two friends and a girl went upstairs. If Chad hadn't used his phone and caught the video of what happened, I would have called bs.

All three came running to the car and wouldn't say anything till we were long gone. In the video you could hear a deep growl. We had to slow the vid down to actually see it, but after the growl, the closet door opened on it's own and what looked like a screaming human head on some kind of small animal body flew out towards Ally at a high rate of speed.

It sounds loopy, I know, but trust me, if I can ever find the place again I'm gonna get pics outside and in and you all will be first to see them.

I'm not too superstitious and don't get spooked easily. I've explored a lot of places, but only one place has ever given me the chills. It's this abandoned mansion/general hospital built in the 1800s. As soon as my roommate and I walked in, something just felt off.

The whole place was weirdly creepy. Not like traditional creepy, but something was off creepy that you can't put your finger on. We found two staircases: one going up and one going down.

We went down first and it was so dark, even our flashlights couldn't pierce the darkness. I took some photos and the pictures came out super creepy. We explored the rest of the place and left, but we both agree that something was off about the place. Can't really put our fingers on it, but it was the only place we were jumpy and kept watching our backs in.

Ya know, I had thought about it, but it's been a while since I have heard from Chad. I would think that isn't something you throw away though. I'll try to call him and see if he still has it. If so I'll upload it. Creepy as hell though.

I feel I need to poop in a building to feel safe in it. When I am exploring, I don't carry toilet paper, so instead I use a sock to wipe with. Many Mario poop socks haunt the abandoned buildings of the west and Midwest. If your not careful, one of them ight, Find, YOU!

Usually if I feel any kind of anxiety, it's about being caught by a living human.

That said, in the middle of an abandoned neighbourhood once, I entered the yard of one house and immediately felt like there was something very wrong here. I was in no immediate danger so I sat silently for a few minutes and mused on the sensation. I probably also had my tripod out during this time. A few minutes later I moved on.

I've only ever felt really bad vibes in one location out of the many I have explored. I've felt totally fine in all the hospitals and asylums I have explored, in some I've even felt a real sense of peace and contentment.

The only place both me and my mates said we would never go back to was an infamous animal testing laboratory in a leafy, very wealthy area south of London. It had always been a very tough nut to crack, many people had tried and failed to get in because not only was the place alarmed, it had boards on the inside and outside of most windows that had been broken over the years and wire mesh over the windows that were intact, across almost the entire building. Anyway we found a tiny chink in it's armour which involved climbing up to a high window and squeezing ourselves sideways into what turned out to be a ladies toilets.

As soon a we stepped into one of the pitch-black corridors we could sense it, the atmosphere in there felt so heavy and uncomfortable it really is hard to describe. Literally everything had been left inside when it was closed, everything except the animals. All the testing equipment, lab supplies, chemicals, cages, machines, everything. Anyway after about an hour of poking around we set an alarm off and ran for it, I've never felt so uneasy in a location before or since.

Recently I was in a mansion that had a cellar in it. We were on the ground floor (the decay had rendered the higher floors very unsafe) and I was leading the group. For an unknown reason, I opted to skip the cellar, which is strange because I usually find them very interesting. I chalked it up to a gut feeling and moved on.

Not three minutes later, we were in a room with exterior windows and two of us caught a glimpse of someone walking around the building with a nightstick in his hand. He was on a beeline for an exterior entrance to the room we were in.

Needless to say, we hauled ass to the other side of the building and got out.

It's funny how your gut just knows. Glad you guys got out, better to be safe than sorry.

That must have been one sad experience.

Seems like a place that would have been filled with a lot of bad Ju-Ju.

There's an abandoned church an hour away from me that's always given me the creeps. It just always feels cold, even in the middle of summer.

Went into an abandoned tunnel system that ran underneath the track field of my rival high school. My flashlight stopped working in the pitch black and the walls were covered with pentagrams and demonic symbols and messages. Then I thought I heard weeping. Safe to say I booked it out of there with my friends. I'm not going back there without a brighter flashlight and a cross.

I've tagged people like that and it unnerves them when you turn and star directly at them. Fun times.
I believe in Dreamtime... exploring and seeing future events in dreams.

I'm not spooked out of places. I investigate noises... no spooks yet. I have to admit that more then once I have sent people running without much of anything other than their own fear. Fear can be useful.

If there are such things as supernatural spooks I doubt they can hurt you, maybe make you hurt yourself though right?

Now human spooks is a whole nuther matter. Didn't the CIA do some work on future viewing or remote viewing studies?

The worst thing you can do is panic and run in an abandonment. Spooks aren't real but hellholes are.

You're right the CIA did. Who knows they may have known about this thread 7.12.2014
Those spooks are real.

Edit for time dilation.

Only once, and it was the same place I talked about in this (http://www.uer.ca/...rrpage=3&pp#post40)post, but a different building.

The military school sits in a small town in the middle of the state, but in a nice area. It's one of those towns where vandalism isn't necessarily the norm, which is great for exploring but bad for when you have a strange gut feeling. There was a dormitory, an active building being used for a community college, and a medical building that was apparently facing demolition.

We climb through a window to get inside the medical building and almost immediately the place just felt off. It was so weird. I never have problems walking away from my group for a few minutes to look around, but the vibe of this place was absurdly off-putting. I really don't know how to describe it accurately.

It was pitch black the entire time and we had to use our flashlights sparingly due to the community around the building. There were multiple times I could have sworn there were like 1,000 eyes watching us. Only one of my friends there agreed the place felt incredibly weird and it was because of us that we actually managed to hurry the explore and get out of there. That was the first and only explore where I've wanted to leave as soon as I got in. All things considered, I'd say it was like we were not welcomed by whatever it was even though nothing ever happened.
