Has anyone else been keeping up with the status of the Tennessee Brewery, it's been getting a lot of press recently and seems that it might be torn down soon.

Me and a few friends where exploring some other places in that area a few nights ago and went to check it out, but we saw lights on inside and where worried about tripping an alarm or something so we left.

I went last year, and there were talks of demo back then... But that article has a specific date for demo in it, so that's not a good sign. It's a fun explore, especially at night, hope you get to do it before it's too late.

Went last night, about 2:30 AM. It was pretty awesome. The Brewery Untapped project seemed to made even more of a mess of the place, inside there where left over plastic cups everywhere and such. Kinda weird that a few nights prior we where down there scouting and saw lights on inside the building.

Just an update, was in the area the other night and it seems they now have power back to the building and have installed new lights both inside and outside. As well as padlocked all the doors.

It's been years since I was in it and it had no power and was really easy to get into. Try around back if you are worried about the front gate.

Show up at 9:30 with 15 dollars cash and your fingers crossed.

I've gotten into it before, several times. Have some pretty cool rooftop photos. But recently the property was sold, and supposedly the building is going to be renovated into lofts or something like that. We tried to last night actually, they've put pad locks on all the doors and installed a deadbolt on the back.

The new owners of the Tennessee Brewery have announced their $28 million renovation plans for the 125-year old historic structure. The Brewery will include 58 residential units with ground floor commercial and office space. The team will also be constructing a new neighboring 4-story building called The Wash House that will include 90 residential units. In sum the project will include 148 new apartments and 349 parking spaces.

Construction is expected to start late this year with a hopeful completion in 2016. During the construction phase, the project's estimated economic impact is $43.8 million and will create 307 new jobs. When complete, the project will have an estimated $5 million annual economic impact and will create 51 jobs.

Thanks for the info, glad they're doing something with the building rather than demolishing it. Too bad it's no longer accessible.
