I was in the Poconos buying a new laptop from this awesome store up there and I decided to take a detour on my way home and check out Penn Hills Resort in Analmink PA. Thought I would share some photos I took with my iPhone. The place is in pretty awful shape considering it only closed in 2009. There's practically a tree growing through the tennis court already. My favorite part was the little waterfall in the back and the stream that runs through the grounds. Very classy.

Yea sadly there's nothing left to trash. Still, I thought it was quite beautiful the way nature took over.

If it was only nature taking over. I might say it was beautiful. But it is a lot of vandalism that took over. And isn't beautiful. Plus the place seemed pretty shit to begin with even when it was open.

There are some other actually beautiful places to explore nearby.

Haha, I thought it was a Macgruder thread and was excited to see his take on this site.

Also, in this case it doesn't really matter about a name drop, but in the future it's best to avoid using actually names on a public forum regarding this hobby. That includes location names, town names, street names, etc.

Welcome. You live close to a few of the explorers on this site, too. Myself included.

Sorry to disappoint you , but thanks. I don't know why I didn't think of that but yeah it makes sense. I did one of these when the other poster called me out

One of the places/areas I'm looking to check out some time when I'm over, seems to be a fair bit around that rough area so it's all good.

I'm constantly hemming and hawing about whether or not I want to drive out to this place. I know it's pretty trashed, but there's something about the architecture of the little bungalow things that I really like. Your shots are making me want to go a little bit more. Thanks for sharing!

Go. It's shitty. But worth at least one visit. I hate the place and have been three times. If in doubt. Bring some beers. And have fun.
