I can't make any claims to any real adventures yet, but I've had fun scoping out the places I've been to and occasionally gaining entrance. That said, I had a few hours and nothing to do, and seeing how I knew it was mostly dead and would be a decent place to relax for a while, I figured I'd drive over to Rolling Acres Mall and get a look. To my surprise, although I can't claim it to be that surprising, the JCPenney's outlet store has closed and the only operational part of the mall is whatever is functioning out of the former Sears anchor and now the former Dillard's anchor as well. It looks like those properties are run by, or possibly owned by, a company named Jenco, though that's all I could ascertain.
I shot a little over 250 pics that day and have whittled it down to 25 to share here. For the record, I did find a POE, but I didn't go in and certainly won't on my own. The mall is still active in some aspects, with the former Target now being a self-storage place. There were also several vehicles parked around the premises and I saw a few people on the roof, so it definitely wasn't the time to go and and try anything. That said, if anyone would be interested in planning a trip to possibly go inside, I'd be happy to discuss said POE. Just send me a PM and we can talk.
I also recently visited Randall Park Mall recently though that place is locked down tight! I don't know how UrbexUS got in, though I did see a potential POE there too, albeit not something I'm going to try on my own. I'll post pictures from there sometime soon, though they're not nearly as interesting as RAM was.

This is what the front entrance looks like now. Obviously can't walk right in like I did the last time.

Little more detail on their work.

08 JC parking lot garbage can by

I'd love to know why anyone bothers to move a garbage can at an empty mall.

These generators were definitely on and humming quite loudly.

Smile, it's good for you! Sounds more like a threat to me.
16 JC tags by

These were found by JC's receiving doors.
23 JC lost cat by

I have no idea how long this sign has been here. There was evidence someone was feeding cats, though I didn't see any of those felines.
32 Macys side entrance window by

Side door into Macy's. Obviously, someone's been here before, and the big door had been boarded up.

Well, at least I wasn't smoking.
36 macys reflective windows detail by
pwunox, on Flickr
These are the big, reflective window looking things outside Macy's. You can get a glimpse of my arm, leg and a wheel of my car. That said, I didn't notice the tag off to the left until I got home. There isn't much in the way of graffiti on the premises.
41 more abandoned furniture by

And the legacy of abandoned furniture continues. How long could this have been there? Why would they leave it here?
42 theatre by
pwunox, on Flickr
Rear entrance to the theater between the Target and rear Macy's entrances. As you can see, they sealed this up the same as the front entrance. There is a very small opening in it, though it seems to have been covered up since, at least to the point it'd be a bit more trouble to get into than it would be worth to most folks.

49 not a POE by
pwunox, on Flickr
This door is open, but it certainly isn't a POE. The inside looks like it had been set on fire and is likely part of the HVAC systems.

The inside of that door. Lots of light covers, most of them smashed. I did walk to that entryway but it just leads to a brick wall.
51 above ac by

Sorry for the shitty shot, but this is what was above my head when I walked in there. You can actually see a few drops of the rain in this shot. I did not want to spend any longer in this shithole so I got out and kept exploring the grounds.
54 bird house by
pwunox, on Flickr
Why would anyone knock down such a nice birdhouse? This stood for years since the mall closed. I suppose it could have been something that simply happened, but it's too bad regardless.
64 crumbling wall by receiving by
pwunox, on Flickr
In the back, between Target and Dillard's. There are a lot of burnt things back here, as well as smashed crap to close off potential entryways. As the rest of the mall isn't like this, I have to wonder if this is some kind of bizarre, extreme vandalism.
67 blocked entrance 2 by
pwunox, on Flickr
This door is actually open, but there is so much crap packed up against it I don't think anyone could get in.

There were a few of these scattered throughout the property. This one was in pretty good shape and not submersed in water. I still wouldn't touch it.

80 activity on target roof by
pwunox, on Flickr
Three people on the roof of the former Target, now the storage place. There were three vehicles parked by one of the Macy's side doors and another in the back. Don't really know what they're doing, but I'm betting they're the same folks.
The Dillard's building had it's receiving doors open and they're using it for storage of some sort, though there wasn't much to see. I shot a few photos but they're useless so I'm not bothering to include them.
Coming next, some outdoor shots of Randall Park.
