Exploring the tunnels in Cincy

After living up north for the last couple of years, I moved back to my pseudo-hometown (I wasn't born here, but have lived half my life here). I was spoiled living up north. I lived about 40 minutes from Gary, where, if you've ever been there, or even heard anything about the place, you know there's no shortage of ruins. So much stuff is wide open, like Detroit.
Where I live now is not nearly as blessed with ruins. However, after doing something that I'm not used to doing, actually looking for stuff, I found some cool places to explore. Sorry this is pic heavy...I got a little carried away! Enjoy! 1.

I tried to pick a favorite, but they're all so interesting! Bravo.

Photo heavy threads tend to be the best kind. Many thanks for posting! Even though I've been exploring off and on since around 1981 (and have looked at thousands of photos and videos from others since that time), it's always striking to see how MUCH people leave behind! Clothes, shoes, furniture, dishes....it's all here in these pics and so many others.

My favorite is the SOS sign for save the school. Awesome sign, and great shots.

Some of those houses definitely look like they had people with hoarding tendencies in them.

Yeah, that's a Pontiac Bonneville, 1965-1970 2-door hardtop. Someone should adopt it, make it run, and drive it. I hate to see good old cars like that just sit and rot while people buy new Scions and the like.

Ugh, I too love all of these.

That wallpaper though. What. I've seen some damn fugly wallpaper in these places but that takes the cake. How could you live there?! You'd go blind!

Well, I suppose the obvious answer is that nobody is living there. Maybe that's why.

Great finds though. Love the old homes so much. And ooooh I wish there were more dead churches in my area, those are a favourite for me.
