There was some post on here about some old man's body that had been discovered in an abandoned house, just kinda chillin' in a chair for a few years.

With pictures, they were gross. Damned if I can't find it.

Must find!!

I feel evil for saying that..lol.

Is it bad that I too...Someday, want to find a dead body in an abandoned building? Should I just go admit myself now? lol

I feel bad for the guy. He was dead for 5 years and nobody even noticed. Not only did they not know he was dead, they weren't even smart enough to check his own house for him lol.

This guy has to be a troll.

"My work has never been more relevant and important than right now."

"This message was brought to you in part by the pseudonymous American Artist and Activist known as Seph Lawless "

"If you really loved balloons... then you would set them free"

His crooked photos all have the same bland processing, poor composition and lighting. It has to be a joke.

Yeah, I'm in the "this is really disheartening and sad camp" I'd say it's pretty clearly a suicide if no one noticed in 5 years. I think I'd kill myself if I had that busy of a social life too. The world is a fucked up place.

I've been waiting for this to happen. Hopefully someday. I'll just keep carrying my KY, dreaming of the day....

seriously though, take lots of pictures, call 911, wait... its a dead body. It can't hurt you. Just like empty buildings and dark spaces can't. Not a big deal.

I found a body at work four years ago. Guy was a resident who died suddenly in his unit. He had been dead for a week. Sadly, one of his friends lived on the same floor and his business partner only got worried when the guy didn`t show up for a business meeting. And yeah, it is sad when that happens.

I personally think it would be absolutely fascinating and amazing to find a dead body while exploring but, I could also see my brain being retarded and running with worst case scenario. And also doing nothing about it. "This is clearly the work of the the guy from the texas chainsaw massacre. Yup. Definitely that guy. I wonder what he's doing in new york? Oh, killing people again, obviously."

I found a body once but it wasn't while doing UE, I was at work. Fire at a small apartment building mostly confined to one unit as I recall. The fire dept. thought the tenet wasn't home. I was in the bedroom. Part of my job was to evaluate the damage to certain items including clothes. The bedroom had taken some fire, but a lot of smoke. I opened the closet door. The rod was full, a bunch of clothes, some coats and shoes on the floor. One pair of shoes is perpendicular to the others and has socks...and ankles...

The fire department was wrong.

The legs disappeared in the pile of coats most of which was hidden behind clothes that were on the hangers.

I called out but there was no movement.

I called out to the firemen/EMT's who were still in the building. Within a few seconds three of them came running thru the bedroom door. I wordlessly pointed to the closet, they immediately set to work. One of my teammates who was standing at the bedroom door having followed the firemen was looking rather confused. I put my hand on his shoulder and said "Let's go, I'll explain outside."

The nature of the scene changed that moment. I went back to apprise my team in the parking lot.

Around the same time the coroners truck showed up and they wheeled her out the Incident Commander let know they had tried to find some next of kin contact info but when they came up empty handed they called her place of employment. (A neighbor said she worked as a cashier at Kroger's)

The IC went on to tell us Kroger's had informed him that she had no living relatives and no close friends other than a few co-workers.
The manager of the Kroger's where she worked said that he would take care of all of the funeral arrangements.

Since we weren't needed anymore we left.

I didn't go back in the building and I only ever saw her ankles.

It still makes me sad even to type this.

I thought there was a dead guy on the top floor of this awesome hotel in KC. He was stone cold still, and a sheet had been draped over him like it was a ghetto morgue... When we were exciting the building though, what we though was a dead body was gone, along with foot steps... I was so freakin happy he wasn't dead bc I had the moral issue of would I want anyone to find me if I was there. Luckily I didn't have to choose, but I'm pretty sure that will happen again in this hobby... I hope it's not the frozen dude above though... That is quite fucked lol
