A 2 alarm fire broke out in a 4 story abandoned building. The "Earle Hotel" was built in the late 1800's and deemed historical. This building has many hazards that create many problem for suppression.





The vacant hotel was unoccupied and boarded up at the time.

Firefighters were pulled from the four-story building rather quickly to attack the smoke and flames from the outside.

Crews didn't have the ability to stay inside because the stairwells had been removed. There was no access to some of the upper floors, and the building also had a basement. For those reasons, an aerial attack was initiated.
