An 11,000 seat stadium sits empty awaiting redevelopment. Very impressive. Be very careful if you visit this place. I would have liked to have stayed longer, but there was an alarm that starting going off. I saw security and police there when I was driving by afterwards.

Just needs to be straightened just a touch.

I like what you're doing orgulla gringo. If you are going to more and more locations though, it may be time to invest in some camera equipment or processes to better preserve your explorations for the future. Just my $0.02, take or leave it.

Yeah, orgullo. Instead of posting the pictures you've taken of the places you've gone, if you could apply a little more hideous HDR like Ken does, that'd be for the best.

You guys are right. These pictures could be better with better photography equipment and editing. I'd be a little hesitant to buy an expensive camera and take it with while exploring abandoned buildings, especially in rough areas. What program do you guys use for HDR? Photoshop? Thanks for the advice.

He was insulting Ken regarding his use of HDR (which i don't find over the top in most cases.)
If you HDR, HDR right. I don't at all (honestly, because i don't know how (never bothered learning)), but some people do.
Photoshop and Lightroom are good programs to use for post-processing.

You don't really need expensive camera equipment if you know your gear and process. I use Lightroom and Photoshop. Before that it was iPhoto. Even before that it was straight out of the camera. Get a handle on things incrementally before moving to more expensive gear. When you feel confident enough to take the next step, then buy the gear.

A part of that ongoing process is experimenting with different things. Do whatever makes you feel like you've accomplished what you want. Like overdoing some urbex photos with HDR to learn something along the way.

If you HDR, HDR right.

I have discovered even after doing HDR "right" someone will always suggest it be posted to /r/shittyhdr.

Except you don't do it "right."

In any case, my point was that your unsolicited critique of orgullo's photography was out of place and rude.

Not everybody wants to be a photographer. Sometimes people just like photos as keepsakes of the places they've been. If orgullo wants to change his aesthetic, he will probably seek to do so without needing your prompting.

::sigh::

Thank you for your input. OP is doing a good job out there and let's not hijack this thread for disagreements between us.

Here I am wondering why this place looks so familiar... and then I remember this was the meetup place for Infinnapolis 2. Looks like the cars that were parked on the field are all gone, the lights that we all climbed have been torn down, and half of the bleachers are removed.

We had a lot of fun that night; Darlinclem, LacklusterLakeLurker, DJCraig and I met up there with Otter from the UK, Witek and Adam from Canada, and Bradly Garrett for the first time, and ended up turning it all into a crazy roadtrip.

Whole bunch of locals, a few from Colorado, We did donuts in the parking lot while I hung out the window with a beer in my hand. Then we all had dinner and played on rooftops in the downtown square. Also, CRUNK JUICE!

If you want to protect the locations you love to explore, don't talk about them online in public!
If you want to make exploring friends, send people private messages! Meet up in real life! Get off the internet!
Don't try to have a UER e-penis! You won't impress anyone! This especially means you, Minneapolis MN newbies!

I didn't take any offense to the photo critiques. These photos could have turned out better. This was a hell of a location with great photo opportunities. I was hauling ass out of here because the alarm had gone off, so I really didn't get a chance to take as good of pics as I wanted to and I carry around a $50 camera. Either way, I'm always open to critiques.
