Hey everyone!

So hopefully, enough of you have seen my posts through here, and if not then please feel free to take a look through to know I am not a complete scum bag explorer, because I am about to ask for some much needed help!

Almost 2 years ago, my best friend/brother was practically forced to move away to Oregon, and I am finally able to start planning a trip to get out and see him. This is definitely one of the most exciting and extensive trips I will have taken in my life now, and I want to be able to see as much as I can on the way there, as well as on the way back, and this is where I am needing to ask for help.

Here is a map of the entire route I am taking:

I would GREATLY appreciate any and all help on anything that I may be able to hit on the way through! I will provide a short portfolio of some of my photos below. I will also be stopping in Seattle at an art show before getting to Oregon. So anybody in Seattle that knows of anything else, we can meet up and have a fun time! I hope to see some great stuff while I am out!

Looks like an awesome road trip! I did something similar last year from Boston - Chicago and it was some of the most fun I've ever had. Definitely spend some time in/ around Chicago (if you haven't already) since there is a lot to shoot out around their parts. And of course, Detroit is always a fun visit as well. As far as getting out more towards the west, good luck finding abandonments if that is what you're looking for. It'll get pretty slow after you hit Nebraska, but at least you'll have an interesting drive through miles of landscapes.

Good luck with the trip!

Yeah it definitely slows down quite a bit away from the rust belt, but in a sense it is still just as lively in different ways. The old country houses and barns. I have friends out that way and they have plenty of stuff on the west coast they have given me to go out and see but I am always looking for more!

Have you been to Gary, IN? Looks like you'll be traveling through that area.
Good luck on your trip!

No I have not yet been through there. Might be a good place to stop on the way through though! Or on the way back at least but I would really like to focus strong on Oregon and Cali currently.

While I do not have any places to offer, your photos are amazing and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

I have never been, but the old missile silo's in southern Wyoming will be very close to you when you drive through there.
An hour and a half south of there in Colorado is the Government Barn of Doom.
I highly suggest you get off of the interstate and use the old highways. You will see so much more.
