I finally worked up the nerve to explore a location that I have been eying for years now. I had always been reluctant to head inside since it is right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of "the largest town in Maine" as well as the fact that these buildings are the largest and tallest in the town and being a huge symbol of the former economic importance of the the area.
I felt like this would make a good first thread, and I hope it's not too lengthy.
These first pics are of the main complex while a portion was beginning remodeling for apartments about 2 years ago. Some of the bridges and transverses are no longer there:

These pictures are from a building just across the street from the main complex and appears to be a machine shop/repair shop:

This building is pretty well sealed off and seems to be an engine-house. The only access is through a manhole and crawling through a cat hole to another manhole entrance from underneath:
