I was just thinking last night, and maybe this has been brought up before but I couldn't find anything on it, are there ue apps out there?

A uer app for the phone would be cool, though it works just fine through the phone's browser. As many people as there are that do this, it surprises me that no one has made an app for exploring.

Or maybe they just weren't made right and didn't last. I was just curious if anyone had seen any, or had tried making one.

Depends what you mean by "UE App."
There are police scanners, Google Maps, geocaching 'apps', etc., which can all be used while participating in the activity of UE. Nothing i know of pertaining specifically to UE, though. What would this 'app' consist of..?

Good question.

What makes you think this is anywhere near a good idea?

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

No I don't think it would be a good idea. But I was looking online last night at all the abandonment websites and it got me to thinking. I'm surprised that no one has thought that it would be a good idea and make one.

So I thought I would ask, if anyone on here had seen it attempted before. It doesn't seem like it would be a good idea at all, considering how information and locations would be tossed around like nothing.

I don't know, like location names and photos, or something of the sort. I would think that if someone made one it would be looked down on, it just surprises me that no one has made one yet. As far as I know anyway.

This is why I asked. I thought maybe someone on here had more knowledge as to whether it's been attempted. Just curiosity I suppose.

I'm not trying to spark any arguments or anything.

I know there's an app for the Iphone called Abandoned by A Fly By Tour. I'm not sure if it's any good, though. Or reliable.

I started looking more and I saw that Abandoned app you are talking about. I looked at the preview of it, and it looks like something that would give away locations to just about anyone in the public that bought it.

I don't know its full functions, but it damn near looks like what I was asking about.

Steed I just checked that thread out and I didn't see that before. Is that something that holds your db in private? Or can anyone see it? And have you tried it? That seems like a good idea actually, if it is worth it, I'd actually give that a try.

+1. Not really an "app" per say. But the same idea.

Ah nevermind I went to the page to try the google maps deal, as it actually seems like a decent idea, and it hasnt been used on windows it says. After checking it out, I like what he has thought up there.

The "app" that I was thinking of seemed like a bad thing in my mind, but what he has going on, doesn't come across as anything like what I was thinking about.

I use the police scanner for two reasons. One I can hear if I've been reported, and two if there is anyone else in the place they will hear it and assume I'm the police!

Except another cop. And my biggest issue with those is they usually are not in real time. That delay can burn ya ass.

We are on Field Trip, which is supported by Google. Atlas Obsecura and other similarly themed sites are on there as well. Supported on both iOS and Android devices. It requires GPS to be enabled.
