| | | This is the third abandoned church I've explored thus far and it's now my favorite by a long shot. Beautiful architecture in an advanced state of decay with no graffiti or vandalism. Only the power of time and the elements has caused the damage here, as far as I can tell. Usually my location-specific sets tend to be incredibly varied, almost spastic in terms of style, but this time I made a concerted effort to achieve a similar color cast/grading and processing in each shot in order to create a stronger sense of consistency. Exterior shots aren't my specialty but I still gave it a try here. 01. To Seal Away the Light | Hightower Church by FloodSpectre, on Flickr And almost all the rest are the same part of the church. I... may have fallen in love with this building. Just a bit. 02. Apostasy | Hightower Church by FloodSpectre, on Flickr 03. | | | Posted by FloodSpectre I didn't see one, no. Is that what you'd normally find in that otherwise empty space up there? I haven't really been in many churches, abandoned or not, so I'm not sure where something like that might typically be.
| Most likely. All the pipes would have been taken out, but that large box looks like an organ facade. There may have been rows of boxes with holes back there, the air chests, where the pipes stuck out of.
| When there is tranquility, you are in the right place. When there are no footprints, you are on the right path. When there are no tire tracks, you are on the right road. |
