Some friends and I have often looked to the east of where we live, admiring the hills of the badlands, and we've often wanted to go exploring there. Well, we finally took the plunge, and we found a lot of interesting stuff there.
I'll be separating each location into its own post, under the general headline of "Badlands". Enjoy.
For this trip, we discovered an abandoned battlefield that was built by hand 15 years ago by guys who used to do World War I re-enactments. The re-enactment site had bunkers, trenches, foxholes, firing pits, and even an entire No Man's Land done up with barbed wire and can traps.
