I've been working up in Newcastle and on the way back home I decided to stop and take a break

The infall is a 30 foot straight drop so I decided to try the outfall which has an easier climb down

Once inside the overflow is a brick arch affair which leads to a concrete RCP

Was the end blocked off for some reason? Re-routed (where would the water go if it rose)?

There's a new overflow so this is redundant now, the new side is just a crap concrete box

You should post a "Danger of Life" sign inside on the way to the outfall.
