Some sort of Chinese cult built this cool space age compound sort of thing. They had plans to build much more but their leader got deported or something so this is all that remains.

I just found out about it today. It looks like it's got a big gate blocking off the front doors. Anyone ever checked this place out? Can you get in?

I didn't know that was even still there. I checked the place out about 10 years ago and was able to walk around it but wasn't able to get inside the building. I suppose quite a lot could have changed since then. It's an interesting looking building but I thought the materials used were questionable. I think the outer shell was made entirely of vinyl or something similar. Even the surfaces to stand on. Just kinda weird but kinda fits in with how everything else about the place is weird.

I also read that the inside may not even be finished so it could be a shell. It looks maintained but I couldn't find any recent pictures.

Went there last night, it's still the same. The only notable differences are the lack of the two smaller golden domes. It's still very well kept, no graffiti on the main building, and the lawn is mowed. Unfortunately there are very tall, spiky metal gates surrounding the doors. I didn't get close enough to touch the building, so I can't comment on the vinyl materials.

It's actually not a Chinese Cult. It's a temple of worship for the Tien Tao. If I remember correctly Tien Tao is a break off of Taoism which is highly recognized in the Peoples Republic of China. The interior from the Second floor up is unfinished which includes the dome. The main floor and dome both hold very detailed statues imported from China, some still in crates.
