Like I did promise, here comes the Second Part. This time I did get there alone. 130 kilometers per direction - not too bad if you ain't unemployed and moving with 25 years old car like I do. Anyway, I did get on the road bit early (because in my mind mornings are always best time to photograph) so I did arrive there 9 a clock. I must concern if I should try to get there much earlier at next summer... sunrise would be nice to watch from the highest tower.

But god damned it was nice! It was nice even with my un-photographing friend, but I must once again confess that you get so much more from abandoned places when you are there alone. Much more freedom and time to really look and breath that atmosphere in. Other thing that were different to first visit were weather, which were this time really windy. People who doesn't know would think that abandoned factory... what a quiet place of peace. Once again truth were quite different; wind did open and shut doors really aggressive way, wind did bang hanging parts, even birds were jumping on roofs making step kind noises. And still there were that strange peace, which can be found between life and death.

Best moment were near 11 a clock when sunlight did find it's way in - there were dust on air by wind and that made beam-like light. With those moments I really were in fire, if you know what I mean. But like in my life too often, time were again my worst enemy: I did have only 4 hours to spent there, and I did spent most of it inside. It really weren't even nearly enough, but otherwise it leaves very good reason to future trips too.

But after this over-excited shit, here we go...

And Still the Trains Didn't Run:

Ghost-Town's Morning:

Downward View:

Chaotic Beauty:

In the Structures:

Footsteps from the Past:

...and Then it did End (Suddenly):

Welcome to the Deck (We will be Leaving Earth in 6 Hours):

At Least I Know That I've Been Living:

Art of Heavy Machinery (Blessed by Morning Light):

Steel Bridge:

Under the Permafrost They did Find it... (An Ancient Spaceship):

Waiting for the Last Strike:

Light at the Dark Alley:

Bridge of Death (of Work):

And Then There Were Light:

Magical Morning Light:

Dracula was Already Risen:

Let There Be Light (Even for the Dying One):

Last Days of Electro-Nite:

Calculating the Weight of Depression:

Still Living (Between Death):

Silent Hysteria:

Morning (Alone):

Afterglow of End:

From Here to Nowhere:

It's Over (2012):

-----

And off-topic-bonus-picture comes once again from riverside near my home:

So that's all, folks. You can be sure that I already wait for third time...

Amazing set!

Conan's father explaining to him the secret of steel:
"Fire and wind come from the sky, from the gods of the sky, but Crom is your god. Crom, and he lives in the earth. Once giants lived in the earth, Conan, and in the darkness of chaos, they fooled Crom, and they took from him the enigma of steel. Crom was angered, and the earth shook, and fire and wind struck down these giants, and they threw their bodies into the waters. But in their rage, the gods forgot the secret of steel and left it on the battlefield, and we who found it. We are just men, not gods, not giants, just men. And the secret of steel has always carried with it a mystery. You must learn its riddle, Conan, you must learn its discipline, for no one, no one in this world can you trust, not men, not women, not beasts... This you can trust." [points to his sword]

Soul crushing awesomeness in this fantastic sequel, Suden Sydän. Excellent work and unsurpassable creativity flames within you. God-fucking-damn.

Hey, this is nice; I especially like those giants, because that place is quite gigantic at my scale. Fits quite well with "this keeps playing in my head" song:

Thanks! I really feel kind of... you know, most of my time did run away with inner parts of that giant so after all I weren't able to get outside views even nearly as much that I did dream before... but thinking positive... that is good reason to return. But I must confess: I didn't literally found this, it was found by many others before me, so my thanks to them.

Hey, think how this feels to me; 10 long years I've been photographing mostly those small farm houses while jealously watching photos from around the world with this kind of giants thinking that I will never get the change. And suddenly... Life can be amazing sometimes.

Thanks, I've been try to improve my very special "turn your almost unworking brains totally off and let them come" technic through the years... even I feel that I repeat myself quite much with those titles (which tells something about my brain capacity).
